McFly's new Comic Relief single out March 7th was recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London. Not content with stealing The Beatles crown last year as the youngest UK band to achieve a No.1 album, Tom, Danny, Harry and Danny also made use of the same piano that the fab four used when recording at Abbey Road. Expect to hear a full orchestra featuring on the new single and bit of a 'swing' vibe - more news and clips coming soon.....

After a phenomenal 2004, 2005 has got off to an amazing start for McFly. The nominations for the Brits Awards 2005 were announced at a party in central London yesterday and McFly have been nominated for Best Pop Act!!! This is a fantastic achievement and Tom, Danny, Dougie and Harry could hardly contain their excitement when they heard the news at the party where they were also performing.

As always Best Pop Act is one of the most hotly contested categories at the Brits and this year's is no different with competition from Girls Aloud, Avril Lavigne, Natasha Bedingfield and Westlife.

McFly perform at Brits 2005 nominations party

It’s nearly that time of year again when the music industry gets together to celebrate the biggest success stories of the previous year and credit the artists who made it happen. The 25th Brit Awards ceremony takes place on Feb 10th and the all important nominations are being announced at London’s Park Lane Hotel this Monday. The Mcfly boys, who have definitely been one of the ‘biggies’ of 2004, will be performing an acoustic version of ‘Obviously’ and you can catch a Brits nomination highlight show on ITV 2 at 10pm.

BBC1 8.10pm The boys filmed an episode of the hit Beeb drama last year and you can see them in action this Saturday. They play themselves in the storyline and visit the famous Holby city hospital when a dedicated McFly fan is injured. The guys had great fun filming, but don't worry, there are no plans for the boys to pursue acting careers just yet, they're going to be in the studio working hard on their new album.
